Serving God Together

Serving God Together offers a biblical case for women serving alongside men in any level of church leadership for which they are gifted, qualified, and called, without restrictions. Written by a layperson for laypeople and clergy alike, this book will help Christians seeking a deeper understanding of what Scripture says on this important topic. It summarizes the core arguments in favor of an egalitarian leadership ethic. In readable prose, the author draws on the latest biblical scholarship and historical research to carefully examine the "challenging passages" that have been used to restrict women's leadership in the past. He also addresses some key theological topics and church practices, providing fresh insights along the way. Serving God Together concisely summarizes the major arguments in favor of women's leadership in the church, using a responsible approach that respects every word of the biblical texts. In those texts, readers will discover God's original design: When it comes to leadership, women and men were meant to serve together.
