Interestingly, Human Trafficking is considered as a global phenomenon by the United Nations. Also it is regarded as one of the top three most lucrative illegal businesses in the world.
The result is that the insatiable taste of human traffickers to make money has ended the lives of many youths who would have become valuable assets in their countries if they didn't embark on the trafficking journey.
The statistics according to the International Labour Organization (ILO) more than 40.3million people at any given time are trapped in modern slavery worldwide. This including 24.9 million of these people in forced labour. Despite this high number, only a few traffickers are held criminally liable. This situation is not encouraging and something has to be done in order to remedy it.
