As dog lovers, we all have our favorite breeds. Our preferences are usually guided by our upbringing or experiences with certain dogs. We've all come to realize the amazing ways our canine friends can enhance our lives.
The great diversity of dog breeds that exists today is the result of crosses made by man. Many of them were raised in search of dogs that corresponded to specific physical characteristics and with a personality adequate to the function they should perform. Over 100 thousand years, when the dog, a descendant of the grey wolf, appeared, the crosses resulted in more than 400 breeds of dog.
