Word of the Day: Year 5 Word of the Day Autumn 1

Why should I introduce a word of the day into my classroom?Sharing a new word of the day with your pupils can be a marvellous way to build vocabulary and encourage more ambitious word choices in both spoken language and writing. Our range of Word of the Day materials are available for every year group, for every half term throughout KS1 and KS2. Each Word of the Day PowerPoint slide gives you an age-appropriate daily word, definition and related tasks, with a final end of the week consolidation writing task to practise using the new vocabulary.
