Humans have had a strange fascination with death, atrocities, bizarre human abnormalities. These real-life events have always intrigued people. Consider medieval art depicting terrifying demons, hell, torture, executions by ax, fire, or beheading. No one can deny we're all drawn to scenes of violence and destruction. Do you crane your neck to view a traffic accident? Do you watch images of death, shootings, fires, airplane crashes on the TV news? Do you play video games involving violence? You know the answer to those questions. As a Doctor, I've witnessed human carnage. It is horrible.
