Shaolin #9, or "Linked Moves," is one of the five long sets in the Northern Shaolin Style. Its most spectacular moves are that of the one-handed cartwheel into a full split, followed by the shooting through of both legs into the push-up position. This set demands quickness and agility and teaches the practitioner how to use a bewildering array of circular motion to confuse, evade, attack the opponent, and also defend against him. The repertoire of the Northern Shaolin Style is extended upon learning this advanced, traditional and authentic Shaolin form. This book also contains the only authorized biographical sketch of the late Grandmaster Johnny So (So Bin Yuen), written by Sifu Kenneth Hui, and this book, at first dedicated "to" him, is now dedicated "in memory" of this pioneering figure of Northern Shaolin in the United States.
