An independent RPG system, this book contains everything necessary to start an RPG campaign using the Vanguard system. It consists of three contained books: The Player's Book, The Master's Guide, and The World of Arduna. The reader doesn't need to have any previous experience with even the concept of RPG, but innovative concepts for the game are introduced. Hit points are not used, and with the objective system, rarely does the end of a fight mean the end of life for all members on one side. Narratively, the objective system allows the creation of stories naturally guided by character, making the group focus on the campaign's history without the need for arbitrary attitudes on the part of the master. The World of Arduna provides a world to allow the quick start of the campaign. The world itself is extremely unique, using concepts of astronomy, biology, and sociology for its development, it still includes the usual fantasy elements, such as magic, spirits, and dragons. This book also includes a grimoire with over forty individual spells and a bestiary for use in-game.
