Unexpectedly, there were substantial blocks of time newly available for reflection. This arose because of the coronavirus pandemic of 2020. The author/attorney purposely began the assembly of his recollections of many of the hundreds of people he had represented and their individual stories. He realized that some of these folks were truly unique. Their remarkable stories and their personal idiosyncrasies fascinated him when he first encountered them, and they still do. Some made him laugh again, and some did just the opposite. This book is a collection of factual vignettes. It involves real clients, jurists and others, connected in different ways, both with actual litigation, and with the other work of a busy and occasionally overloaded lawyer. Some of the stories are submitted for their humor, rather than for initiating any enduring societal transformation. The reader may find that other of the stories are also informative, even to an extent enlightening, as they clearly were to the author.
