Description

Take a breath. Pause, take a second to check in with yourself.

Anxiety can be an obstacle to your goals, but if you have the tools and take your time, you can accomplish what you set your mind to.
This book should not replace professional help if you are suffering from anxiety or other related issues. This Anxiety Journal is meant to be a tool to help you identify how and when you are feeling and to track potential triggers and coping mechanisms that help.
Anxiety is your body's natural response to stress. It's a feeling of fear or apprehension about what's to come. People may feel fearful and nervous on the first day of school, meeting new people, going shopping, or a job interview.
If you are experiencing anxiety:

  • Focus on what you can change
  • Figure out what's bothering you
  • Stop and breath
  • Journal, write down your thoughts
  • Create art
  • Distract yourself
  • Seek help, talk with friends or family

We want you to use this book to keep in touch with yourself.
The turn of a new page opens to a two-page spread of tools for you to use to check in with.
Start with the How Am I Feeling (Generally) chart. When you wake up, at noon, afternoon, evening, and at bedtime, take a second to judge how you feel on a scale of 1 to 5.
In the Mood box, circle a descriptor word that summarizes your mood. At the end of the day, you may have a few words circled. You can use those words to gain a sense of how you felt during that day, and you can use those words to craft journaling statements on the lined-notes section on the next page.
Energy and Activity are the fuel that gets you through the day. Track them on the gauges on the lefthand side.
The bottom of the lefthand page has a place for you to write down any Triggers you came across, and right next to that area is a place to jot down what coping skills you used to manage those triggers.
The top of the right page is a place for you to write down notes, feelings, plans, or thoughts. Make sentences with your mood words or scribble a reminder.
Below that section is a place for you to create a drawing or a doodle. You could print out a photo that depicts how you are feeling and paste it here.
