BOOK DESCRIPTION
Have you ever experienced such a storm or life event that almost pushed you to give up or quit? What did you do or say, or perhaps, where did you go or turn to? Well, after I experienced an unexpected and chaotic storm in 2017, I almost gave up everything before my eyes. I was depressed and faced another "rock bottom," after losing a position in a career field of over a decade. I was torn, but not broken. I was in disbelief, but not surprised. I was hurt, but not crushed. I was clueless and experienced a total halt in my life-mentally, physically, financially, and emotionally, but I was spiritually strengthened (to this day, my faith has been strengthened and enhanced because of this very life event). So instead of giving up, I let my pain shift and position me in my life calling of writing, which allowed me to express my life journey and most deepest thoughts, experiences, and allowed me to release my untold stories, to this day. Words from the Heart is a collection of poetry and prose and includes original and powerful inspirational quotes. It's a unique and engaging book that takes adult readers on an up, close, and personal journey of different seasons of storms and success I experienced throughout my life as a Black youth and young woman. As a reader, you can look forward to taking away a lifetime of valuable and helpful insight, encouragement, wisdom, and motivation about the power of perseverance, resilience, hope, faith, focus, strength, love, grace and mercy, appreciation, embracing storms, and never giving up, when life brings one unexpected, messy, and difficult storms. This book also includes encouraging and motivational words to our nation and addresses social injustice, the Black community, prisoners, poverty, and homelessness. You won't regret this read!
