DaNia, the youngest daughter of Daniel and Audrey, has been in a relationship with Lil Greg, Gregory Jr., since she was fourteen years old. Gregory Jr., the son of Lauren and stepson of Cornelius, struggles with mental illness. Instead of being compliant with therapy, he runs to DaNia when his mood changes. She drops everything to save the day. Running to his rescue leads to her becoming emotionally disconnected from their relationship. While trying to handle her emotions, a classmate on campus tries to pursue her. Haze had been trying to get DaNia since their freshman year of college. DaNia isn't interested in Haze's arrogant and close-minded personality. She may not find him attractive, but she finds her older instructor attractive. Professor Jett Davenport has locked eyes on DaNia since the first day she walked into his classroom. He wasn't so sure about confessing his attraction to her. After all, she was his student. He wasn't alone. DaNia was afraid to confess her feelings as well.

While on a summer trip to gain experience in directing plays, DaNia and Jett share their feelings for one another. She admits to him that she just walked away from a long-term relationship while dealing with another guy who won't stop pursuing her. Professor Jett Davenport understands and wishes to take his time with DaNia. She agrees that they should take their time by working toward a relationship. Working toward a relationship with Jett erases thoughts of Haze and Lil Greg. DaNia gets so caught up in the genuine dates and gifts that she comes face to face with fornication and giving away her virginity.

Even though Jett's romantic and thoughtful dates and gifts erase Lil Greg and Haze from DaNia's thoughts, she is still on somebody's mind. Is it Lil Greg or Haze? Who will come back for her?
