Famous Americans Stamp Series of 1940 by USPS

The thirty-second president of the United States, Franklin D. Roosevelt was an avid stamp collector. During his presidency, Roosevelt used his executive powers to involve in selecting 35 famous Americans for the special stamp series issued in 1940. It was a historic honor roll of renowned authors, poets, educators, composers, artists and inventors of America.

This booklet contains 35 color images of the stamps. Brief information about the people on the stamps is given. There are spaces provided for hinging the stamps, and the booklet can be served as an album for these stamps.
