In the far future, a war-torn England is conducting genetic experiments to create living weapons. One of them, the FH Project, tried to hybridize humans with aliens that nearly wiped out the planet. And it worked. Code named "Andraste," this traumatized soldier becomes an extremely powerful but deeply troubled superhuman.

As the only one of her kind, the FH Project is forced to operate on constant guesswork to keep Andraste alive as she gears up for war. All that's left of the world are violent zealots and the remnants of civilization. No one knows how much can even be saved.
