In an atmosphere of darkness, one man fought a battle against the French that transcended the hatred and violence that ravaged the country. He fought a Holy War, placing all his trust and confidence in the One God. He fought with the inner spiritual wisdom of the Sufi Path. His love for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), his ever_ growing knowledge of the mystical sciences, his unyielding faith, and his purification by God's grace were his invincible weapons against the forces of darkness in his adversary. He possessed a complete absence of violence in his heart. It was impossible for violence to touch him. Multiple attempts by the French to kill him failed. Documents recording the failed attempts were confiscated by the French or removed from the reach of any that might inquire about the miracles that kept him alive. This research represents not only a return to the truth: it is a wake-up call for mankind. It is factual evidence that we are not alone. We have never been alone. Shaykh Ahmad Bamba Mbacke has become a living testimony of the power of God's justice and love.
