The reason why the designs are printed faintly is so we as the artist can not only practice, develop and improve our skills but the faintly printed designs allow us to see our work as we apply the designs. The designs are printed faintly so we can keep an eye on our shading values as we practice and the faintly printed designs also act as a sort of faded tattoo stencil after it's been wiped loads of times.
