Vanity of Vanities, All Is Vanity: A Narrative Interpretation of the Book of Ecclesiastes

What does it mean when the Bible says, "All is vanity"?

Is life meaningless? Does wisdom matter? Why do good things disappear? And if everything passes away, how should we live?

All Is Vanity introduces young readers to the strange, beautiful, and challenging wisdom of Ecclesiastes through an accessible narrative adaptation designed for children, families, and homeschool readers.

Rather than avoiding Ecclesiastes' difficult questions, this book invites children to encounter them. They explore the passing of time, the limits of wealth and success, the uncertainty of life, the importance of wisdom, the reality of sorrow, and the joy found in receiving each day as a gift from God.

Along the way, familiar passages come alive: "To every thing there is a season," "The race is not to the swift," and finally Ecclesiastes' enduring call to fear God and keep His commandments.

Written in clear, engaging language for young readers, All Is Vanity can be read independently, shared aloud as a family, or used to begin conversations about faith, purpose, mortality, gratitude, and what truly matters.

A thoughtful introduction to biblical wisdom for Christian families, homeschoolers, and young readers ready to ask big questions.
