R&r: A Feast of Words

Life flows in ways of its own choosing, not always relinquishing control to each individual. Often, we cannot change the course of events that determine health, death, and so many other emotional and physical trials. Each of them could certainly defeat us if we had to face them alone. But what if we had one person, just one, that we could always count on? One person to whom being young or beautiful, rich or even right, mattered not at all?

One person that could endure distance and time, sorrow and joy, secrets and revelations, silence or a feast of words.

Through a series of exchanges, some handwritten and some electronic, old friends psychologist Rachi and restaurant designer Raffi share perspectives on sundry topics, from marriage to parenting, from fine art to family dinners. As Covid thwarts plans and subdues intentions, the two long-time friends fill the time avidly reminiscing about college adventures and holiday traditions of their Italian heritage they hope to see continue amid a changing world. The discussion of the role they have played in each other's lives and the sharing of perspectives and memories catapults the pair into the realities of the present and the adventures that await, adventures they plan to experience together. R&R: A Feast of Words reiterates the value of maintaining a friendship despite the turns in the road and the disparate paths each individual in the relationship must take while showcasing how much there is yet to learn and enjoy about the friend one has known so well and so long.
