Court of Blood and Sacrifice

I was twelve when my father was murdered, forced to watch as a man in black ripped out his throat. I swore, since then, that I would find out who killed my father in vengeance. After being orphaned from my father's murder, I learned that the man in black was one of the cursed. A vampire from the Dark Lands. I made a promise to myself that one day I would spill the blood of his murderer. All I had to do was make it into the Sunfire Court guard--the toughest vampire hunters known to man. But when I achieved the impossible, my world was sent swirling into chaos as the appearance of a vampire shattered my reality.
