The human government knows about us. We understood the risk we took when we took the battle to the city. But we didn't plan for their government to flood the area, harass the hybrids, and cause a media frenzy. Nor did we understand the sheer amount of information they had about us.
When hybrids start disappearing, and militias begin to hunt us, pockets withdraw their people and lock their gates. My people want to fight back, and I won't be able to hold them back if they do. The other leaders are restless, and the Leadership Council suggests starting a war with the humans. A war we would lose.
To avoid a disaster, I'll need to redirect the leader's anger, find a plan to de-escalate the situation, and find a solution that allows my people to live freely. On the verge of war, I jump at the first political solution presented. It will protect the coalition and help humans advance their societies if it works. Unless the people with strange magic and the remaining Bellicose don't ruin it all.
