I'm Off... and I'm Also Leaving

I'm Off ... and I'm Also Leaving brings a lifetime of observation, exasperation, and perfectly timed punchlines to the page.

Over sixty short stories relating to personal, impersonal, imaginary, contrived, humorously diverting, farcical, and just plain funny excerpts from the author's enigmatic left-brain matter. His explosive right brain exists to tell stories that leave a surprise or a laugh, while his midbrain is a storehouse for the expected and unexpected needed to enliven our spirits.

With the same sharp wit and warmly self-aware voice of his earlier work, Dr. Green, now a 90-year-old, returns with a dive into the absurdities of everyday life and growing old. The cadence of Yiddish-inflected humor and Borscht Belt timing remains, delivering observations that are as likely to make you snort as they are to make you nod in recognition.

Part stand-up, part survival guide, and entirely entertaining, I'm Off ... and I'm Also Leaving is a reminder that even as the world grows more complicated, the best response might still be a well-placed joke-and the wisdom to know when it's time to make your exit.
