Natural histories are so full of fun-filled facts that it's relatively easy to fill a book. These snippets are in rhyme, so I like to think they draw you in. And they're relatively short. You have my permission to skip around the topics, not necessarily reading them straight through. I must encourage you to read them all though, they make good stories and in my opinion they add to our appreciation of the world.
Something I say in the introduction to the biome section, I believe in earnest. If you travel, instead of shooting to step on each of the seven continents, why not make it a goal to experience, as in depth as possible, all of the biomes. They're worth it.
In the adaptations section you'll recognize that many of them touch your own experiences in unexpected ways. I hope you learn things about life on Earth that so many of us are guilty of taking for granted. There are wondrous things going on out there.
