Xi-Struct: A Unified Ontological Framework: From Distinction to Consciousness

This monograph presents ΞII, a unified ontological and computational framework that derives physics, cosmology, consciousness, and ethics from two co-arising primitives: the act of distinction Ξ and the operator of structuring II. From this minimal basis, we construct a hierarchical architecture of twelve interlocking layers, each grounded in explicit mathematical postulates, operational definitions, and falsifiable predictions. The core thesis is that existence is not substance but process: a thing persists not because it is made of fundamental building blocks, but because it is distinguished from what it is not and structured into a coherent pattern. Stability is quantified by an integrity functional I(P); co- herence by a radius Rc(P); and their trade-off by the invariant balance law I(P) - Rc(P) = ξ0. A toroidal state space T 2 with harmonic closure ratio R/r = π yields universal thresholds C2 ≈ 0.682 and φc ≈ 2π/3, which govern transitions between fragmented, metastable, and self-referential regimes.
